Great stay with friendly staff

Had such a chill time! The staff were super friendly and made us feel at home, especially during breakfast. The location is perfect, just a stone's throw from York city. Plus, there's a Toby Carvery nearby for an easy dinner. Only thing was the room could've been a bit more spacious. But overall, it was a cozy stay!

The room was clean, cozy, and equipped with a comfortable sofa bed perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options, including hot items and fresh juices. All of the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Parking spaces were limited.

The breakfast was really good with lots of choices, I mean, it wasn’t just your usual stuff. the staff were all so friendly, they even went the extra mile for the kids which I really appreciated.

I noticed a musty smell in the room which detracted from the otherwise decent experience. On top of that, breakfast charges seem a bit steep for what you get, which felt more like a quick grab-and-go rather than a legitimate dining setup.

my stay was fantastic because everything was just a short walk away, including the iconic york minster and the lovely national railway museum, perfect for weekend city strolls and exploration! As a solo traveler, i appreciated the excellent breakfast that set me up nicely for a day of wandering around the quaint streets and parks of york, making it a comfortable base to return to after my adventures. absolutely loved that my room was clean and the staff was welcoming. but the hotel could improve by ensuring a higher standard of cleanliness in the rooms, as i noticed a bit of dust in some corners.
